Seagull IV is a water purification system by General Ecology Inc. that has been on the market for over 40 years and is covered by numerous international patents.

Seagull IV eliminates bacteria and viruses present in water and a large variety of toxic substances, but leaves the mineral salts essential for human health present in water unchanged.
Seagull IV is ecological, it does not use electricity to operate or any type of chemical reagent. There are purifiers on the market that use only 30% of the purified water while 70% is conveyed into the drain. Seagull IV, thanks to its patented Structured Matrix technology, uses all the incoming water, without waste and immediately available without waiting times.
Seagull IV is silent because it does not have electrical compression systems and, as a not insignificant feature, it is economical to purchase and manage.
Remember, however, that Seagull IV is not a water softener (therefore it does not eliminate limescale). 

The SEAGULL IV water purifier physically retains, through microfiltration, particles and organisms with dimensions > 0.4 microns present in the water. To get an idea of the dimensions, just consider that the length of a red blood cell is 7 microns. The importance of the filtering capacity at 0.4 microns (filtering matrix of 0.1 microns) emerges when we observe that the dimensions of pathogenic bacteria vary in diameter from 0.5 to 2.0 microns, and in length from 1.0 to 8.0 microns. SEAGULL IV, therefore, has the filtering capacity to remove pathogenic bacteria without the need for chemical reagents. It keeps the bacteria in a lethal environment, due to the absence of nutrients, promoting a bactericidal action that also eliminates the danger of nocturnal proliferation of bacteria, as in carbon filters.

The SEAGULL IV Removes by absorption, numerous chemical substances such as: Chlorine and its organic components, herbicides, pesticides, gasoline and oils, detergents and traces of iron hydrogen sulfide. The absorbent properties of the matrix cover a wide spectrum of molecular sizes and therefore of chemical substances. The natural minerals essential to health and good water quality, pass unchanged through SEAGULL IV.

In the elements composing the adsorbent matrix of the SEAGULL IV water purifier, + and - charges are permanently induced which help the removal of particles and colloids of opposite charge even smaller than those retained by microfiltration. Therefore the resulting medium filter mixture is able to retain smaller particles than other possible filters with similar density.
